American Airlines announced new flights from Dallas to Rio de Janeiro

Brazil will host the 2014 World Cup, moreover Rio de Janeiro will be home to the 2016 Olympic Games. Whether you are a sport-addict or not, you may be interested in the latest new route announced by American Airlines.
A founding member of the oneworld alliance, American Airlines, announed that it would launch new flights Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW) – Galeao Antonio Carlos Jobim (GIG) starting December 16, 2010. Services will be operated three times a week with Boeing 767–300 aircraft.
American Airlines also offers daily nonstop service from Dallas and New York – John F. Kennedy (JFK) to Sao Paulo, plus multiple flights to and from Brazil through its hub at Miami International (MIA) (including Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Recife and Salvador). With the addition of the new DFW to Rio service American will offer 77 weekly flights to Brazil.
