Air India & Indian Airlines merger starts with IT integration for better booking experience
Air India and Indian Airlines, after the merger into a single unified carrier; have been migrated into a single IT platform enabling passengers a better ticket booking experience on the new SITA’s Horizon Passenger Services System. This would enable the passengers convenient and flexible ticket booking for domestic and international journeys online.
The modern technology of the PSS platform will enable Air India to enhance the end-to-end flying experience for its passengers; to increase revenue channels and to offer attractive promotional campaigns through its enhanced website. In addition, SITA’s system will result in reduced costs of sales distribution for Air India. This is the first step of Air India towards betterment and modernizations of the largest Airliner of India.
